Michael was a wealth of knowledge. His love of research and being an avid reader in many topics, such as World Events, History, Religion, War, Cultures, Finance and also Food topics, made him a great conversationalist. He could fill you with facts and figures of just about anything. When he wasn’t researching, you would find him enjoying his other passion in the kitchen, cooking or baking up a storm, with all the latest gadgets! At any family gatherings, Michael would be the first one up from the table saying, “Who wants tea?” and of course, no family gathering was without dessert. Michael had a real sweet tooth and particularly loved his pies, lemon meringue being his favourite!

A huge sense of humour right till the end, Michael loved to tease. The more he loved you, the more teasing you would receive. He delivered his witty comebacks and corny one liners with his deep, distinctive voice and a twinkle in his eye.

Michael’s family was the joy of his life, especially his two grandchildren Emma and Liam. His commitment to them, his love and wisdom, helped shape them into the wonderful young adults they are today.
