MARTIN, John Frederick (Fred) - John Frederick Martin (16 May 1924 – 1981) was born in Toronto, Ontario. He served in the Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve during the Second World War. His wartime photographs and documents include material from his training/service period in Victoria, including his July 1943 photograph of the Beacon Hill Park bridge, and photographs associated with his wartime naval service. After the war he returned to civilian life in Toronto. He married Vivian Edith Barnes and they raised three children - Carol, Sue and (me) John Michael (Mike) Martin. Dad died in Toronto in 1981.
