Fate: sunk as a target ship in 1977

 

Built by Marine Industries Ltd., Sorel, she was commissioned on 01 Dec 1953, and paid off on 31 Mar 1954, the day of her transfer to the French Navy. She was re-commissioned as the "dragueur" La Bayonnaise M728. On 01 Jun 1973 she was re-classed as a "patrouilleur" with pendant number P654. On 13 June 1975, La Bayonnaise P654 ran aground on a shoal off Lifou near New Caladonia. She was deemed not repairable and was sunk in 1977 as a target ship.
