John Adrian (Jack) Hulbert

Died: 01 Mar 2012, Toronto, Ontario

 

HULBERT, John Adrian (Jack) - Died peacefully, surrounded by family March 1, 2012 at the age of 91. Beloved husband of Shirley for 63 years, loving father of Ken, Marnie, David, his wife Leslie and Bruce, cherished grandfather of Trevor, Thomas and Ellis. Jack served six years during WWII in the Royal Canadian Navy, followed by over 35 years with Toronto Hydro. He was an avid amateur radio operator, who loved classical music, travelling, gardening and bird watching. Jack was always ready to lend a helping hand. He had a great sense of humour and was quick with a story. His was a long and happy life. Friends may call on Monday, March 5, 2012 from 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at St. George on Yonge (5350 Yonge St.) at 2 p.m., visitation beginning at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. George on Yonge or a charity of choice.
