PAIN, Ernest (Ernie) - Veteran Survivor of HMCS Louisburg. At Cornwall Hospice on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at the age of 96 years. Beloved husband of the late Helen (née Easson). Loving father of John “Jack” Pain. Cherished grandfather of Jennifer (Alex) and Bryan (Keri) and great-grandfather of Rianna, Roman, Kingston and Kolten. Will be lovingly remembered by Jean Landry. Predeceased by his parents Frederick and Annie (née Yeates) Pain, his brother George and his sister Annie Hawes. Resting at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, West Branch, 20 Seventh Street West (932-8482) on Friday, April 26, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Saturday, April 27 from 12:30 pm. Funeral Service to be held in the Memorial Chapel of the Funeral Home on Saturday at 2 pm. All members of the Royal Canadian Legion are requested to assemble at the Funeral Home on Friday, April 26 for a Legion Tribute Service at 7 pm. Memorial Donations to Cornwall Hospice or St. John’s Presbyterian Church would be appreciated. At Cornwall Hospice on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at the age of 96 years. Prior to joining the Navy, Ernest served in the Victoria Rifles of Canada and the Three Rivers Reg. (Tank). He was on Active Service from 11 Nov 1939 till his Discharge from the Army on 17 Oct 1940
