WATERS, Brian James - 65, Dartmouth, died February 1, 2004, in the VG Site, QEII. Born in England, he was a son of the former Constance Nicols, Dartmouth and the late James Waters. He was a member of the the Royal Canadian Navy retiring after 32 years of service. He was a member of Royal Canadian Legion, Centennial Branch, and a member of the Chiefs and Petty Officers Association. He loved the outdoors especially hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife, the former Gertrude "Trudy" Dexter; daughters, Cheryl (Rick) Hayton, Virginia; Maureen Waters, Rawdon; Janet (Eric) Keefe, Toronto; Cindy (Mike) Riley, Manitoba; 10 grandchildren; uncle, Walter Shirley, Dartmouth. He was predeceased by sister, Cathy; brothers, Keith, Francis. Family will receive visitors 2-3 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m. Friday, February 6, in Dartmouth Funeral Home, 29 Queen St., Dartmouth, Rev. Patricia Malin officiating. Family flowers only by request. Donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society. (The Halifax Herald 03 Feb 2004)
