Born: 14 Feb 1928, Finnie, Saskatchewan

 

Died: 23 Sep 2020, Halifax, Nova Scotia

 

DUTCHAK, William Roy - Age 92, passed away in Halifax on September 23, 2020. William was born in Finnie, Sask. in 1928 and left home at a young age to join the Royal Canadian Navy. He is survived by his companion, Rejeanne Wilding; siblings, Ronald Dutchak, Regina, Sask.; Dennis Dutchak, Saskatoon, Sask.; and Agnes Morgan, Saskatoon, Sask.; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Muriel Dutchak; parents, Nick and Mary Dutchak and siblings, Agnes Morgan and Alice Ratushniak. During his career in the navy, William served on HMCS WARRIOR, MAGNIFICENT and BONAVENTURE. After his retirement, he spent several years as Duty Manager at the Halifax International Airport. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed many years of friendly competition. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, October 9th at 11 a.m. in Fairview Lawn Cemetery. Please observe COVID-19 measures.
