FRASER, Earl Russell Walter - At the Armed Forces Hospital, Halifax, Wednesday, December 30, 1964, after an extended illness. Earl Fraser, 36, husband of Lorraine, father of Erlene, Marlene and Gary. Remains are resting at Cruikshank's Funeral Home on Robie Street. Military funeral Saturday at 2:30 p.m. from St. Margaret's Church, Lower Tantallon. Interment in St. Margaret's Church Cemetery. Able Seaman Dies at 36 - A.B. Earl Russell Fraser, a veteran of the Royal Canadian Navy, died last night at the Armed Forces Hospital.  He was 36.

 

Born in Five Island Lake, Halifax County, he had served on HMCS Bonaventure, Granby and Chignecto.  He was also a member of the RCMP Marine Division, the merchant navy, the Canadian Legion Branch 125 and Branch 136 of the B.P.O. Elks.

 

He is survived by his wife Lorrainte, two daughters, Earlene and Marlene, one son Gary, his father, Russell H., Halifax; four sisters, Dorothy (Mrs. Harold Wright), Zweibrecken, Germany;  Florence (Mrs. R. T. Manuel), Dartmouth; Marion (Mrs. L.E. Merkle), Broadview, Sask,; and Evelyn (Mrs. Bruce Sine), Athens, Ont.

 

The body is at Cruikshank's Funeral Home, Robie Street.  Funeral service will full military honours will be at St. Margaret's Church, Tantallon, at 2:30 p.m. Saturday with Colonel the Reverend Mr. Rippon officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  (Click here to view the obituary as published)

 


 

Earl R. W. Fraser died of Carcinoma of the Pancreas.
