GEE, Warren Burroughes - On July 5, 2004, after a long, courageous battle with Parkinson's. Born in Toronto on April 4, 1923, he was a lifelong sailor who spent his teenaged summers working on the Great Lakes and served in the Navy during World War II. His 40 years in the advertising business included a decade at Ogilvy & Mather and 20 years as owner of his own business, Warren Gee & Associates. His love of life, art, music, design and family inspired all who knew him. He leaves his wife Diane (nee Fulford), his sons Marcus and Bryan, his daughter Caroline and sister Marilynn, daughters-in-law Kate Andrew and Margaret Christakos, son-in-law Steven Graham and his eight grandchildren who brought such joy: Eric, Madeleine and Sarah Andrew-Gee, Zephyr, Silas and Clea Christakos-Gee, and Rebecca and Raiden Gee-Graham. Warren's family would like to thank Sunnybrook Hospital's wonderful staff in George Hees and K Wings and the art and music therapists who added so much to his life. We will celebrate his life on Friday, July 9, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Yacht Club on Toronto Island. The club boat leaves at 2:45 p.m. from 263 Queen's Quay East at the foot of Parliament. Donations may be made, if desired, to the Parkinson Society Canada, 4211 Yonge Street, Suite 316, Toronto, Ontario M2P 2A9. (The Gloe and Mail 06 Jul 2004)
