Died: 04 Feb 2022, Halifax, Nova Scotia

 

RANGER, Lionel (Tex) - age 87, of Dartmouth, died in the palliative care unit of the VG Hospital, QEII on February 4, 2022.

 

Born in Calgary, Alberta, he was a son of John and Gwen (McGarth) Ranger.

 

Lionel served in the Royal Canadian Navy where he spent 20 years as a submariner. He will be missed by all.

 

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Ruby (Loyello); daughters Kim (Harold) Nied, Andrea Ranger; grandchildren, Amanda, Adam and Anna and 4 great-grandchildren.

 

Cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The QEII or Dartmouth General Foundations.
