MOONEY, John Lawrence, Cook (S), V30149, RCNVR, died - 17 Aug 1942, HMCS MAHONE - Husband of Nona L. Mooney, of Vancouver.

 

Cook (S) J. L. Mooney was discharged from the RCNVR 24 Mar 1942 as medically unfit due to cancer discovered while serving in HMCS MAHONE.  He died at the Shaughnessy Hospital, Vancouver, British Columbia from osteogenic sarcoma of left clavicle (cancerous malignant bone tumor).
