Died: 2023

 

MYERS, Edgar Alexander - Lieutenant Commander CD retired pilot in the RCAF, Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm and the RCN Naval Air Branch, and retired finally as Business Administrator with the Peterborough County Board of Education. On January 18th at Peterborough Regional Health Center, Eddy simultaneously ran out of fuel, altitude and airspeed but managed to land happily at the Pearly Gates at the age of 98. He is predeceased by his lovely wife of 46 years, Betty Doreen (nee Barry) and is survived by his son David, daughter-in-law Cindy, grandson Christopher and great-grandsons Aiden and Nolan; son Barry, daughter-in-law Linda, grandson Alex and granddaughter Laura. Predeceased by sisters Doreen McCallum of Grimsby and Evelyn Andrews of Toronto, Ontario. A special thank you to the staff of Empress Gardens Retirement Residence for their kindness and assistance over the past number of years. Arrangements have been entrusted to CREMATION CARE.
