MUTCHESON, John Edwin, OS, V83333, RCNVR, MPK - 18 Mar 1945, HMCS GUYSBOROUGH - Son of Margaret Mutcheson, of Portage la Prairie, Manitoba.

 

OS Mutcheson died when his ship, HMCS GUYSBOROUGH, was torpedoed and sunk by U-868 in the Bay of Biscay with the loss of 53 of her crew.  Prior to joining the Navy, John served in the RCAF. He has has two brothers who are serving in Italy, Capt. Richard and Sgt. Leonard.
