Obituary:PRICE, Raymond Frederick - Age 78, passed away on November 15, 2014 at Soldiers Memorial Hospital Middleton NS. Ray was a resident of Mountain Lea Lodge in Bridgetown before becoming ill. Born December 12, 1935 in Chesterville, Ont., he was a son of the late Graham and Hazel Price. Raymond is survived by his loving wife, the former Lorraine Kenney, Wilmot; son Marty and wife Dinah, Wilmot NS; grandsons Logan, Colton, and their mother Blanche of Huntsville Ont.; step granddaughters Natasha, Latoya, and great grandson Jackson; brother, Gary, Winchester Ont.; Robbie, Madoc, Ont.; sisters, Joan, Victoria, BC; Catherine, Toronto, Ont. ; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Wendy, Kemptville, Ont.; brother, Marty, Picton Ont., and his best friend the family German Sheppard named “Jericho”. Ray joined the Canadian Armed Forces (Royal Canadian Navy) in 1953, sailed on numerous ships including the HMCS Magnificent, Annapolis and retired in 1983 at CFB Greenwood. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, he loved spending time on his property with the view of the Annapolis River, and playing Rummoli with friends and family plus crazy eights with the grandsons. Arrangements are under the care of the Middleton Funeral Home 398 Main Street, (902) 825-3448. Cremation has taken place. By Ray’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Interment to take place at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff at Mountain Lea Lodge and Soldiers Memorial Hospital for their care and concern during Raymond’s visit. Donations can be made in his memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of choice.
