Born: 31 Jul 1964, Iserlohn, Germany

 

Died: 14 Jun 2026, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada

 

CAMPBELL, Thomas Seton -  born in Iserlohn, Germany July 31, 1964, to Thomas George Campbell and Mary Jane (Gillis) Campbell, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 14th. He will be dearly missed by his wife Constance of 33 years, his daughter Brittany (Cameron); grandchildren, Gage and Andre. Mother; Mary Jane (Reid), Siblings Carol Ann (Richard), Heather, Micheal (Karen) as well numerous nieces and nephews, and extended family members and friends. Thomas was predeceased by his son Tomas Deven Campbell, and his Father Thomas George Campbell.

 

Tom chose to follow his father’s footsteps and served 30 years in the Royal Canadian Navy as an Electronics Tech, primarily based out of Halifax. During his service he served on numerous ships over the years and while he retired from the military, he continued his career as a civilian working in partnership with DND.

 

He met the love of his life Constance Ann Hilliard while attending a music festival in Newfoundland. They married in 1992 and welcomed their daughter Brittany Jacqueline Campbell in July 1993, and their son Tomas Deven Campbell in August 1995. He was a devoted husband and father and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time at the cottage in Lake Charlotte, following the Bruins, Red Sox and Cowboys. He had a lifelong love of sports, especially hockey, which he played for over 50 years. He was also a great leader who coordinated and organized sports. He was best known for being a charming, witty, humorous laid-back man with the deepest love for his wife, children, grandchildren and extended family. He was always a safe haven and anchor for his family and friends, AKA The garage counsellor.

 

He was a man known to many as being the life of the party and will be missed by anyone who knew him.

A Celebration of Thomas’s Life will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 161 located at 6644 Trunk 7, Gaetz Brook, Nova Scotia.

 

In lieu of flowers, if so desired donations can be made to the Dartmouth General Palliative Care Unit. (Arbor Memorial)
