GOLDRING, Ronald Gary - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald Gary Goldring, age 83, of Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia. Ron passed away peacefully on Monday, June 15, 2026, at the QEII Halifax Infirmary, with his son and daughter-in-law by his side.

Ron was born Headley Cottages GBR, the son of Charles and Rosa Goldring. Ron dedicated 35 years of service to the Royal Canadian Navy, proudly serving his country from 1960 until his retirement in 1995 as a Chief Petty Officer First Class. He carried himself with quiet strength, integrity, and a deep sense of duty throughout his life.

Above all else, Ron was a devoted family man. He leaves behind his loving son, Christopher Brent Goldring (Amanda); his cherished grandchildren, Mason and Harper Goldring; step-daughter Tracey Munroe (Scott Pierce) Waasis NB; his sisters, Caroline Goldring of Victoria, BC, and Gertrude DeBock (Jim) of Darwell, Alberta; brother, Fred Goldring (Karen) of Edmonton, Alberta; and niece, Patricia Eisman (Tim) of Spruce Grove, Alberta, along with extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Ron was predeceased by his beloved wife, Terry Goldring.

Those who knew Ron will remember his steadfast presence, quiet strength, and unwavering support for his family. Whether he was cheering from the stands at the baseball diamonds, watching from the rink, or simply showing up when it mattered most, Ron was always there. His familiar presence, encouragement, and smile will be deeply missed from the baseball fields to the hockey rinks and everywhere in between.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ron’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Sackville Minor Hockey Association

“His watch may be over, but the love, lessons, and memories he leaves behind will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.”
