In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
ODROWSKI, David Allen - It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Dave (Odie) Odrowski at the age of 63 in Halifax, NS on October 8,2026.
Born on February 4,1963 in Wilkinsburg Pennsylvania to Gerry and Merelyne (Evers) Odrowski. Along with his mom, he was predeceased by his grandparents Ruth and Howard Evers, Ada and Joseph Odrowski. He is survived by his wife, Claudette of 40 years; son, Dillon; brother, Mark (Paulianne) Odrowski; and sister, Cheryl Odrowski both of Mississauga along with many nieces and nephews.
Dave was a proud veteran serving for 28 years in the Navy as a marine engineer retiring in 2011. He sailed on many ships Athabaskan, Fraser, Margaree, Terra Nova, Fredericton, also was a submariner serving on the Onondaga and Windsor. Served as a fleet navy diver for many years. He absolutely loved his candy apple red 1965 mustang fastback. In his younger years he was an avid runner, you always wanted him on your team if you were in a relay, a good outfielder in ball, had a great arm. He loved to play hockey and was on many teams over the years. He came by it honestly with his dad playing in the NHL, whom he was extremely proud of. He was also very proud of his son Dillon for the path he has taken with the Canadian Coast Guard. He looked forward to spending time at the cottage every summer on Surprise Lake in Ontario. His absolute favourite place in the world.
I want to thank the team at Camp Hill Veterans Memorial for the care they provided him with over this past year.
Upon his wishes, cremation has taken place and his ashes will be taken at a later date to his final resting place. Sacred Heart cemetery in Trout Creek Ontario.
In memory of Dave donations may be made to Holy Apostles Parish - St. Joseph’s Church Shad Bay NS. (T.J. Tracey Burial and Cremation Specialists)
