McWEENEY, Ronald Clifton - (06 July 1944 - 26 January 2015) Passed away at his home in Bedford, NS on Jan 26 ,2014, surrounded by his family. Born in Sydney NS, he was the son of Clifton and Doris( Davis )McWeeney.He is survived by his loving wife, Jeannette of 46 years and his son, Rodney, sister Cheryl ( David ) Stevens, Dartmouth, nieces Jennifer Stevens (Ryan) Trudel,,grand niece, Vivien, Dartmouth, Heather Stevens ( (Paul ) Goodyear, Dartmouth and a grand niece to be born in March, nephew John David( Maria )Bellefeuille , grand- niece, Sara, Embrun ON. He attended Bishop Whalen High School in Lachine QC and was very active in the Navy Cadets. He served in the Royal Canadian Navy for 23 years as a radar technician. He was self employed in his family business ,Ron's TV and Video for 23 years. He completed the Christopher Leadership Course and combined his love of children and fishing to become one of the founding members of the Little Fishers Club, Bedford ,where families learn to fish together. He enjoyed technology, photography and video taping baptisms, weddings, and graduations. He was a happy person who loved sailing, animals and being in nature. He spent many happy summers of his life in Point du Chene NB .His favourite places were a wharf or a lake where he found peace and friendship. He could often be seen sitting on his deck in Bedford ,enjoying music, the birds and animals. He will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched. In respect to the family wishes, a funeral will not be held at this time. A Celebration Mass of Ronnie's life will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church , Point du Chene NB, in the summer.
