Died: 20 Aug 2001, Halifax, Nova Scotia

 

LLOYD, James Morgan (Jimmy) - 59, passed away Monday, August 20, 2001, in QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in Belleville, Ont., he was a son of the late John Morgan and Ineze (Simpson) Lloyd. He retired from RCN, CPO first class with 35 years service and was an avid Moosehead fan from their conception. Surviving are his wife, Shirley; daughter, Dianna Rose, Dartmouth; stepdaughter, Mandy Coolen, Fox Point; brother, Melvin (Miriam), New Minas; grandchildren, Amber and Jesse; a number of nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by his best friend, Cuds. He was predeceased by sister, Marilyn Donovan; brother, Jackie in infancy; nephews, John and his namesake Jimmy. Cremation has taken place. Family will receive visitors 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards. A family committal service will be held in St. James Church Cemetery, Fox Point, Rev. Mark Pretty officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or Canadian Cancer Society.
