Born: 1961, Channel-Port Aux Basques, Newfoundland


Died: 30 Dec 2023


SPENCER, Myles Ramsay - age 62 years of Halifax left this world to be with his father Henry Bryan Spencer on December 30, 2023. Myles was born in 1961 in Channel-Port aux Basques, Newfoundland to Henry and Josephine "Josie" Spencer. He attended public school and joined the Royal Canadian Navy in 1980. Myles moved to Nova Scotia and married the love of his life Glenda in 1981. Together, they raised two Daughters, Karen AND Amy. Myles spent 18 years in the Navy and sailed the world. He served on many ships: HMCS HURON, HMCS PROTECTEUR , HMCS PRESERVER, HMCS IROQUOIS and HMCS NIPIGON. During his military service, he instructed seamanship on board harbour training ship ASSINIBOINE at the fleet boat shed. Myles achieved the rank of master seaman. Through out his career he meet and sailed with exceptional people. He was always there for those who needed him and would give the shirt off his back . In his later years he married his current wife Donnica. Even though his ability to get out and about was limited, he loved his grandchildren dearly, Kaniah, Shane, Madison and Jacob. Myles is predeceased by his father Henry. 


He is survived by his daughters Karen (Trey) and Amy, Scott, grandchildren Aniah, Shane Madison and Jacob , his wife Donnica and her daughter Yandel. He is also survived by his mother Josie and brother Michael,and son Henry (Phillipines) AND Mother in Law, Launa. At His request there will not be any celebration of Life. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the heart and stroke foundation
