Served 15 Jan 1948 - 24 Nov 1969

 

JOLY, Jean-Jacques (J.J.) - passed away peacefully at the Bruyère palliative care centre on March 2, 2022 at the age of 94. He leaves behind his spouse of 65 years , Jeannette Joly (Savoie) and his 3 children, Jean-Marc (Jane Seabrooke), Jacqueline and André.

 

JJ, as he was affectionately known, served with honor and pride on the HMCS Magnificent, HMCS Quebec and HMCS Terra-Nova. He always spoke highly of his service with the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) and was exceptionally proud to have been chosen to participate in the RCN contingency for the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.

 

In his spare time Jean-Jacques loved planting trees and chopping wood at his tree farm near his birthplace, Alfred, Ontario. Jean-Jacques cherished his family and enjoyed the holidays and will be dearly missed by his family and grand-dogs.
