Died: 27 Sep 2011

 

DUFOUR, Gerald J. (Gerry) - Peacefully, on September 27, 2011 at 90 years of age. Beloved husband of Rita for 68 years. Loving father of Joan & Bill Cox, Marion & Bruno Campagna and predeceased by sons Jack, William and Richard. Dear grandfather of Jennifer, Jimmy, Nancy, the late Randy and great grandfather of Ashley, Alexander, Michael and Jackson. Dear brother of Adrian, Angela, William, Stanley and predeceased by Rose, Thelma, Herbert, Bella, John and Teresa. He will be sadly missed by many friends and family. Gerald will be lovingly remembered for his abilities as a musician as well as being the first teacher's aid in Windsor at Riverside Secondary School. Gerry was a veteran of WWII, having served in the navy for 25 years, was an honourary member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 255, and was also an honourary member of the Windsor Banjo Club. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. William's Cemetery, Emeryville.

 

Note:  Gerald's name at birth was Gerard Jerome and at some point changed his name to Gerard John.  The Crowsnest magazine lists his name at Gerald James.
